Mrs. Hershey has been researching her family lines since 1974, mostly in Central Pennsylvania and in 2006 started her company, Generations Remembered, to take clients. Her family lines stretch back to 1635 when William Beardsley arrived in Massachusetts and 1682, with Wall’s arrival in Philadelphia on the William Penn Ship Bristol Factor, 2nd Voyage. The Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania awarded her First Family of Pennsylvania, Colony and Commonwealth membership. She has successfully completed 100+ applications or supplements for the Daughters of the American Revolution, Sons of the American Revolution, Sons of the Revolution and Children of the American Revolution. She was awarded 2014 Outstanding Volunteer Genealogist for Pennsylvania in the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution for her work as State Lineage Research. She has been working on lineage applications for many societies beyond those previously mentioned in such organizations as: Society of Cincinnati, The Welcome Society, Mayflower, Pioneers and Patriots and Daughters of the Union Veterans of the Civil War. She is a member of many historical organizations such as New England Historic Genealogical Society, Historic Society of Pennsylvania, Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania and many Central Pennsylvania county and local historical societies.
